Catching tench in spring

Lin begins to peck quite early. Often, he even comes across in the spring snacks along with other fish going to spawn. Although, of course, there is no mass in the cool tench in early spring. His time has not come yet. But before spawning, sometimes there are days of a good tench.

Lin can be called an individualist loner . There are no such schools as other fish in the community. At least for feeding, the lines do not stray in flocks. And only twice a year the line is in one place for more than one at a time. This is the time of spawning and the time of winter expectation and going deep into the wintering pits. The tench is mainly in hibernation in winter, although there are cases of its capture from ice. But this is an exception to the rule.

When to catch ">

For fishing, the most suitable period is the end of spring and the beginning of summer. Although such terms are not suitable for all regions. But this is the case in central Russia. Everyone knows the habits of tench, which can infuriate the most patient fisherman. This is his tendency to procrastinate the worm long and hard, forcing the float to swing, tremble, swim somewhere. But if you hook it, you’ll only pull the hook from the line from the mouth. But such infantile habits of tench occur in the summer, when the fish is full and cautious. In the spring, biting tench is quite decisive and strong. At this time, tench eats up after spawning and therefore so confidently and even eagerly pecks at a float rod and donkeys.

Where to look for tench in spring?

There is another sign of spring, which is rarely repeated in the summer. In spring, tench often comes across right in the riverbed or at the border of a fast current and a reverse current. In summer, tench can only be found in the bays of the same river. But tench avoids a strong current at any time of the year and keeps on a weak current or in stagnant water.

Bait and bait

Whatever the assertions that the tench can be fed with cottage cheese and caught for bread nozzles, this fish will never exchange a simple dung or leaf worm for a lump of semolina or another similar nozzle. Probably, at the time of Sabaneev, with a high density of fish, this was the case, but modern tench is a true connoisseur of worms, both bait and bait.

Only in the bait of worms can not be left in its entirety. Run away. Usually for bait, the worms are chopped into pieces and mixed with the ground. And there is no better bait than this, simple, earthy, free. True, it is advisable to take the land not just where it is necessary, but in the meadows, near molehills. This zemlyotska, thrown out by the mole’s paws from the hole, is even, clean, fine-grained, as if the mole sat in a hole and filtered the ground through a sieve. In places where moles are found, there are many such earthen mounds, similar to heaps in mines.

Lin will not refuse from maggot, but for the most part he prefers a “sandwich” of a worm with maggot. To use feeder and other bait in places of fishing tench - to harm yourself. You can’t attract tench with such baits, but different fish trifles will certainly gather at gear. And this, it is safe to say, goodbye fishing. Lin and such a gloomy loner, who eschews even his relatives, and here - a pandemonium of bleak, upper and impudent roach.

Ways to catch tench

The most effective way to catch tench in spring is bait. That is, it is necessary to toss earth balls with clay into which the chopped worms are rolled into the same place for several days in a row.

And an even more effective way to catch tench is a bait on an artificial patch of sand among aquatic vegetation. Usually in the habitats of the line, in dense thickets, water lilies mow the window. Then sand is poured onto the bottom. And here on this improvised table you can see, in the palm of your hand, an earthen bait-filler and worms, although chopped into pieces, but still stirring and attracting tench. One can imagine how cozy the red-eyed is in such a small kitchen, which suddenly appeared from somewhere. All around are the stalks of water lilies, and here is a white sand and delicious food.

For fishing in such a secluded place among the water lilies you can use a float rod, but if the window is small, then you can quite successfully catch it with a side nod. To do this, you need a long carbon fiber light rod, on the top of which is attached a nod, extending to the side. The bait is lowered in a window in the middle of the grass vertically on a fishing line dropped from the top of the rod. It turns out a sort of analogue of winter fishing (more on the side nod).
