When the spring run of the ide begins. How to equip a zakidok, donka fishing rod, feeder for catching ide in the spring.
As soon as the birch buds begin to blossom, the ide begins to rise to the headwaters of small rivers and streams. Usually these are tributaries of the Volga and other large rivers. The ides do not tend to spawn in the bed of a large river. This is due to the fact that the water temperature in a large river will not soon rise to indicators at which the ide spawns. The optimum water temperature for spawning is 10 degrees Celsius. But the spring run of the ide begins earlier, when the water has not yet warmed up in small rivers and can be almost as cold as in winter. The ide is probably one of the first among the cyprinids to begin to rise to the headwaters of the spawning grounds, which is the basis for its fishing in spring. Usually his spring move is in mid-April. At least, we sometimes fell on two or three days of ulcerous passage on Bolshaya Kokshaga on the fifteenth of April, sometimes later, sometimes earlier, but the time difference does not exceed a week.
What do ides catch
Tackles for spring ide fishing can be very diverse, from the simplest donkeys and snacks to spinning and wobblers of minnow.
For example, on the narrow forest river Bolshoi Kokshaga, an ide was quite actively caught idlers. True, not on those snacks we used to catch at night, but on finer gear, although the principle of rigging remained the same. The ide thrower in our design is a heavy sinker weighing about 150-200 grams, a main fishing line 0.5 mm thick and a rather long monofilament fishing line with a diameter of 0.25 mm. The leash is 35-40 centimeters long. The fishing line is thick, but with strong jerks of a large ide and with a heavy sinker, thinner leashes break. And the leash thickness is not so important as in late spring and summer. Sometimes when raising ide for spawning, the water can be quite muddy. The river is usually not yet on the banks. And often the spring run of ide falls precisely on the decline of water. Instead of a sinker, you can put a feeder feeder of the same weight. And then fishing for this fish will be with bait. Worms are the bait for ide throwings. This is the most popular bait. For the sound designation of the bite, a bell hung on the main fishing line or a feeder bells mounted on the tip of a willow rod, into the splitting of which the fishing line is inserted, is used. Hooks are used quite large - No. 6-7 of the Russian classification, since the worm brush is also planted large.
Donkey fishing ide
On an even narrower forest river Bolshoi Kundysh, we successfully use fishing rods, which are a telescopic fiberglass, composite, carbon fiber fishing rod with a reel, on which the main fishing line with a diameter of 0.3 mm is wound. It is clear that when the age of carbon fiber came, we armed with lighter gear, and then you pull a six-meter fiberglass rod a day, and your hands fall off. The tackle is simple. The quivertype-keeper runs the flexible top of the rod, on which is located either a small ringing bell or a feeder bells. Why do I need a bite signaling device if the bite of an ide is already immediately visible "> To Donka fishing rod
The feeder is usually used on river extensions and stretches
Here sometimes a rather far cast is required, which cannot be done with a dummy and a home-made donkey feeder made of one-handed spinning. Long casting is carried out by a 3.9 m long feeder rod with test indices of 60-90-120, which indicates the approximation of this medium-sized feeder to the performance of a heavy-class rod and some universality of this feeder rod.
Feeders are used as a "cage" weighing 100-150 g. They are not dragged away by the current. And so that the fishing line does not sail, we usually use a braided cord with a diameter of 0.14 mm. In late spring, fluorocarbon 0.18-0.2 mm thick is used as a leash.
If you take a spinning with you, then you can take a large ide on a minnow lure.
