Finally, it's time to talk a little about one of the most famous fish among fishermen and inhabitants, which is welcome in the cage of any fisherman (whether it is a beginner or already experienced dock). You probably already realize that we are talking about one of the brightest representatives of the cyprinid family, which lives in many reservoirs of the country, inhabits lakes and rivers, walks in flocks, giving the fisherman a lot of pleasure, if you manage to enter the flock, lure it, keep it, well, Of course, to see the bite and feel the weight of the fish, reaching about 4-5 (and if you are lucky, you can "hook on bast shoes" and more). Of course, this is a bream.
It is clear that in this fact-finding article we will only get acquainted with this great fish that lives in fresh waters, but its life cycle is such that it sometimes enters the sea. In the following essays, we will examine in more detail some features of fishing for bream on certain gears, the benefit is that this fish is caught almost all year round, well, amateur and sports gear, for fishing bream, a great many have been used successfully. Looking ahead, we note that among the fishermen there is a category of forest bream, these gentlemen specialize only in bream fishing and can tell so many interesting things that you can’t subtract in any book. Therefore, if there are such pros among your acquaintances, consider that it will be somewhat easier for you to “enter the covetous” and comprehend this fish.
Look at the photo of the bream, it is almost impossible to confuse an adult with any other fish. It is characteristic that the body of the bream has a flattened appearance from the sides, the length from the middle of the upper fin to the lower part of the abdomen is approximately 1/3 of the entire body length, i.e. a distinctive hump is clearly traced, or else it can be said, the bream looks like a circle, “bast” in one word. A real, or rather, an adult bream has a skin color close to golden brown, scammers are silvery. If you pick up a bream, it can be done on the market (for acquaintance), then it immediately strikes the fact that the body of the bream is covered with mucus, and its fins are all the same color: gray-dark, turning in some areas in gray black tint. Since the bream is a bottom fish, due to its peculiarities it also has a specific “retractable” mouth, thanks to which the bream can calmly turn the bottom in search of food.
What areas does the bream choose, what does he like
First of all, it should be said that the bream avoids the rapid flow, especially if the selected area is small. So, on a river with a moderate current, there are much more chances to meet bream in pits, sunken snags, where there is a slowdown, reverse flow, funnels, sandy-stony or sandy-silty (but not completely silted) bottom. If a depth of the order of 1-3 meters is observed at the edge of aquatic vegetation - this is a favorite place for bream in open water. In winter, he climbs into the pits, goes into the depths. As you can see, the bream loves: depth, slow flow or lack thereof, aquatic vegetation, not silted bottom. It may be noted, perhaps, that the only period when it is almost impossible to catch a bream in a legal way is the spawning period. But there is good news: the bream spawns for a short time, so, in this regard, the practicing trainee literally “does not notice” spawning, moreover, they spawn not at once, but in groups. One can talk a lot about choosing a place on the bream, this is a separate topic, but in practice, not everything is as complicated as it seems.
Catch this fish on a variety of gear, from a boat and from the shore, in winter and summer. In our opinion, fishing on a float, on a feeder, sometimes on an elastic band, on a side nod (summer mormyshka), from a hole in winter (read about side nod) is most interesting. Of course, these are not all methods of fishing for bream, which we will discuss in the future. When fishing for bream, special attention should be paid to the following points: silence and camouflage, bait, care when fishing (this is especially true for fishing on a float and feeder, as there are “punctures” with the moment of hooking). As we have already said, the bream belongs to schooling fish, in search of food, he explores the pond, and finding an acceptable site, he stops for some time on it. Therefore, in order to keep the bream on the site, it is necessary, firstly, to prepare a place for it, and secondly, to periodically reinforce the bream's interest in the place. The first is achieved by the fact that the fisherman feeds a certain area for several days (or weeks), not forgetting to use aromatic substances in bait in order to attract fish from far corners of the reservoir. During fishing, it is also necessary to periodically feed the bream, as the bream may be a relatively settled fish, but if it finds a lack of food, the flock can move to another area (and there are several of them).
If the place is nourished and you are sure that there is a bream here (this can be understood by the sounds of smacking, by the bubbles on the surface of the surface of the water, etc.), the thing remains "for little" - to catch fish. If fishing is carried out on a fishing rod, then preference should be given to fishing rods up to 6 meters, rather tough. As for fishing line - the question is complex. It is clear that the thinner the tackle, the higher the chance of success, but such tackle will be torn more often. In our practice, we use the main fishing line 0.2 mm., Slightly thinner than the leashes. Please note that the bream, most often (not always!), Is taken from the bottom, so the nozzle or bait should be either directly at the bottom, or hover above the bottom, but not higher than 1-2 centimeters. All this suggests that it is necessary to properly load the float so that it shows us the rise of the hook bream. As soon as the bream lifted the nozzle, the float slightly falls over on its side, it can lie down. Then, events can develop according to various scenarios: sometimes the float remains lying (the bream stands still, the nozzle in the mouth), sometimes the float in the lying position slowly begins to swim - the fish has gone, it happens that the float lies down, then it falls a little to one side, and gradually goes into the depths. As soon as the float has taken a lying position, you need to do a hook. But, when fishing for a worm, maggot, bloodworm and other bait, the float can immediately begin to move on a dive or to the side, it is clear that here you should not hesitate to hook. The thing is that having pricked on a hook, a bream can spit out a nozzle - this is the peculiarity of this fish. Everything sounds simple and clear, but in practice, everything comes with time: choose the right moment for the cut.
A good bream actively resists, but this resistance quickly disappears, especially after the bream can be brought to the surface. Nevertheless, even having calmed down, you should not relax, as the bream always has the opportunity to make the last spurt. For this reason, when going to a bream, landing net is obligatory.
As you understand, you can catch bream on plant and animal baits and baits. Well, he goes to the worm, bloodworm, dough with breadcrumbs, does not disdain additives from potatoes, peas and other nozzles. These baits and baits work both in open water and in winter. Do not forget about bait !!!
Please note that we only briefly touched on the fishing of a bream on a float in the summer. But there is also winter fishing with jigsaw and float. And a very fascinating view of fishing - on the side nod.
A bream is a fish that just cannot be caught: you have to prepare not only technically, but also theoretically. But even in this case, at first there will be mistakes, but from this fishing on the bream is only more reckless.
It is very pleasant to haul a bream, and it is even more pleasant to realize that the flock has approached. In gastronomic terms, bream has long been known. In order not to talk a lot, open any menu of a decent restaurant or any cookbook - the bream will definitely be there.
