Roach in the fall, in the article some observations regarding roach fishing in the fall.
We can safely say that roach belongs to the category of fish that any fisherman (even a beginner) is able to catch and does it with great success. This is due to the fact that roach populates almost all rivers and most lakes in our country. We can say that roach is omnipresent, due to its omnivorous nature. Even during one fishing, during the day, roach can be caught on a worm, then go to cereals and bread, and then to their combination with the addition of algae, roach is omnivorous. There were cases when this fish even grabbed small spinners. In a word, roach is not such a rare fish in our reservoirs, and it is caught perfectly at any time of the year. True, some fishermen can boast of trophy specimens, while others of us are content with small things.
To successfully catch roach in the fall, you need to know some of the features and secrets of fishing for this fish. After all, you can catch a whole fish tank of a sporting size, but there will be no particular joy, on 10-11 bite, interest disappears. But if you manage to catch a carpentry in 1.5 adult palms and more - this is a topic for another discussion, here you can boast your skills at the bonfire in front of the fishermen. One of the secrets of autumn roach fishing I want to share with you.
Secrets of roach fishing in the fall
Fishing on small rivers showed that roach prefers relatively deep places in autumn, sometimes it keeps under the coast, near vegetation. As for the current, the roach avoids too fast a jet, but keeps on the turbulence, picking up food. So, the key to successful autumn fishing is the use of bait.
I recommend that, 4-5 days before the intended fishing, gradually feed the place of the alleged fish stop, "accustom" the fish to a specific time and place.
The composition of bait can be different, but I definitely put in it in addition to all kinds of plant components and oils (aromatic plant) and fodder bloodworms and worms. I add the animal component immediately before feeding. It is clear that fishing is carried out in the future, in most cases on the worm and bloodworm. There have been no misses yet.
Further, when I choose a fishing place in the fall, I give preference to areas covered with leaves. I noticed that in such places bites happen more often, and fish are larger. Since roach refers to "capricious" fish, in the autumn you need to carefully play with depth.
I do this: first, fishing from the bottom. If there are bites, I continue on, if there is silence for 10-15 minutes, I decrease the descent by 1 cm, and so on. The goal is to find a layer of water where roach is currently feeding. If this is not done, you can stand all day and go home "empty."
Tackles for roaches in autumn
I’m not talking about the choice of fishing line, hook, because I mean that you are aware of the choice of roach gear, but I put the hook from the sinkers at a distance of at least 20 centimeters, and with a moderate flow - and all 30. When the sinker was closer - there were fewer bites. In autumn, you need to be quieter on the pond, as in nature the sound background is noticeably lower (when the wind is outside, this rule is not relevant, as foliage is noisy and the fish "get used" to this sound). I note that roaches on large rivers are often caught on a feeder. In this case, the features are reduced only to thinner (0.12 mm) and longer (up to 1 meter) to put a leash and use animal nozzles and feeding mixture with a bloodworm.
Catching roaches in autumn on small rivers is a fascinating occupation, requiring the fisherman to prepare and have an accurate knowledge of the reservoir. And the catch of autumn roach looks so beautiful on fallen leaves. Try it, all the best to you.
