It is no secret that winter lanterns are often the only tackle that can bring fishery worthy prey in the ice period. This situation is especially common in coastal shallow-water areas of reservoirs, where large perch are rarely found, and bream and pikeperch are kept closer to the fairway of the river. In the ducts among the islands and in the flooded forests near the root bank of the left bank of the Volga, there are only numerous flocks of perch and roach. And the pike among them is the king of fish, gluttonous, furious and the largest. In such places you need winter lanterns. But there are conditions when a certain type of zerglits is required.
There is a ventilator, the device of which differs from the traditional scheme. This is a tripod gate. Its advantage over other girders is its adaptability to extreme fishing conditions. And such conditions primarily include the smoothness of spring ice, melted during the day and captured by frost at night. And quite often you can see such a picture: on gleaming ice from drizzle, gusts of wind carry packets, pieces of paper, even the sledge drags the fisherman himself too. What then to say about the vents that were delivered in the morning, still in calm, and then the weather seemed to be enraged. It is clear that they simply drop them on the ice and also drags them downwind. After all, they mainly use torches on stands, which are usually covered with snow for stability, but it is no longer on ice. At least soft and friable, like it was in winter.
And among the "family" of winter live bait gear, a tripod-lantern is a gear that is almost not affected by the wind. At least she stands firmly on her feet. Unless the flag can be thrown up deceitfully, with a crossbow, from the squally blows of the “northerner”.
Zherlitsa is a tripod made of aluminum supports, which are attached to the bar with a screw, and a spring with a flag, twisted at the base, is put on it. This design was taken by me from the Baltic vents. Our girders, which were once bought back in Soviet stores, were completely unsuitable for fishing. The coil was mounted on top, which violated the center of gravity, and the spring beat with such force that the ventilator was thrown to the side. It was impossible to see the bite from afar. First it was necessary to look for the zergirl herself in the snow. But the tripod-shaped ventilators I have worked faithfully for many years, successfully opening and closing my fishing season every winter.
A monofilament fishing line with a diameter of 0.4 mm is used to equip the tripod lantern. An olive-type sinker, a swivel clasp and a metal leash are attached to the fishing line. Leashes are best made flexible and thin, from the leash material, which happens in fishing shops in the form of coves. Tees are used small, usually - number 7.5 of domestic numbering. All the equipment in question is used for fishing in the ice, which begins on ponds and in the bays of small rivers. Therefore, it is quite miniature. Later, on the Volga reaches and depths of up to 10 meters, more powerful girders can be used.
This is an original tackle that fishermen used to do with their own hands, and now factory analogues have appeared. The essence of the tackle is that during the pike's grip, the flag does not break from the zerkla’s reel, but flips up when the reel with the fishing line tilts down. Reel and flag are one: when the reel is above, the flag is below and vice versa. The standby flag is fixed with silicone rubber, which is mounted in a rack in the direction of the snap. In the position of the gum behind the stand after the grip, the fishing line will be in the center of the rubber circle, which will create additional resistance.
The zherlitsa is very lightweight, disassembled in seconds and conveniently stacked for transportation. And its main advantage can be called the fact that this zerzilla can serve as ice tackle, for which the reel is unfastened and suspended by ice. And then - this is the perfect tackle for catching burbot from the ice in March.
In fishing for zergolniks, the role of the ice drill is very important. For pike fishing, ice drills with a hole diameter of not less than 150 mm are used. Otherwise, you can miss the trophy pike, which simply does not crawl into the hole.
