Features of night burbot fishing

About the features of autumn fishing for burbot at night, which I was convinced from my own experience the year before last and last year. What is better to catch burbot in the fall, on live bait or worms?

November can be called the time of full fishing for burbot. At least that was before. And this was due to the fact that in November the water already became so cold that it did not differ in temperature from winter water at all. And it was a signal for the burbot that it was time to feed before spawning. In addition, November can be called a period when these strange fish of Nordic origin usually began their journey to the upper reaches, although it is hard to say how high. But in the year before last and last year I was convinced from my own experience: the burbot migration also exists in some part of the river where the burbot lives, at that time it does not exist at all.

Caught burbot in the spring

Not far from my house is a small river. Despite its modest size, it has holes and fish in the river quite a lot, only she is careful here. Burbot is also found, moreover, of a completely conditional size. In the spring I caught burbot on the sandy shore, which has already become mine for me. There are almost no anglers, and even more so random people. Meanwhile, roach and large roach are sometimes well caught on a feeder. In the spring I spent the night on the beach and listened to the ringing of bells. This is for bribes took burbot. And the bank is small, but the fish density was not bad. Then he came and just left baited snacks for the night. True, taught by bitter experience, in this case he did not plant worms, since they were sucked by a greedy bottom and bottom trifle. On the hooks was a cut roach and a spider. And, oddly enough, but the burbot for some reason preferred the roach over the tyulka . How did he know here, on a small river, the taste of this sea, and now Volga fish? But, apparently, I liked a fat fish. In the morning he came and took pictures of fish. Such fishing, of course, is not sporty, but it’s painfully tasty spring burbot, and you can’t always allocate time for night fishing.

I went for a burbot in the fall ...

Inspired by the successes in catching the spring burbot, he came to his shore in late autumn, threw up charms, arranged a canopy and under it a couch. Turned on the receiver, a little mistaken for a meeting with the river. In a word, as always. And calmly confidently waiting for calls zakidushek. In this expectation, the autumn night was wasted. Left gear for another night. No, the burbot was not in this place, otherwise at least one would be hooked.

Later he put gear up and downstream. Everything was in vain. There was no burbot. But for the sake of the experiment, we went to the bridge, which is located ten kilometers above, put snacks with the same bait. Yes, and a ruffled heel planted, immediately caught. And at night we enjoyed the sonorous full moon with a light hoary frost and the sounds of snacks. Burbot, darling, was waiting for us here.

Larger burbots were caught that fall, oddly enough, generally within the city, at least in the park area, below the city dam. Apparently, here the dam served as the headwaters for the burbot of the same river, but already connected to the Volga. It is not for nothing that here, to the dam, seasoned Volga buffalo crucians rise every year. And they said that in the old days the sterlet rose here, and zander was found. Now, of course, the pressure on urban infrastructure has affected the river. Of course, there is fish, up to catfish, but it has already become much smaller. A man surprisingly cleverly chopping a branch under himself. It’s also called reasonable ... We should learn from animals.

But back to the burbot

That's how many years we go to night fishing for burbot, and each time it is surprising that this fish has an amazing feature to change the volume and color of its precious delicious liver, which melts in your mouth if you pick it up in your ear. If in the spring the burbot simply bursts from the liver, which is simply snow-white in color, then in the fall its liver is no different from the liver, for example, pike. This refers to the approximate volume in relation to the body. And the color is ordinary. Some kind of taupe. Somehow, our freshwater cod is able to spawn its liver for spawning, so that there is a place for the kids ... At least that's what they think. I am not an ichthyologist.

Live bait or worms "> crawl out. You just make a big burbot and a worm’s lobe with your fist. But he doesn’t take the fish so willingly. But this is easier to explain. All fish try to gain calories in the fall and therefore choose more high-calorie food.
