One of the most affordable fish for fishing is perch. However, getting a striped robber is not easy. You can learn about the features of spring perch fishing from this article.
Perch is one of the few species of fish that feeds year-round. Thanks to the striped robbers, fishermen can hone their skills both in open water and when snuggled from ice.
As soon as the ice shell descends from the surface of water bodies, lovers of a summer fishing rod go for a perch. You just need to choose the right gear and take an attractive bait with you. Then the catch will be quite rich.
Search for spring perch
After winter, the perch focuses near the deep sections of the reservoir. The fish obtains food for themselves off the coast, where they arrange ambushes for fish trifles. You should look for a striped predator at a depth of more than 1 m. In spring, a rarely fatliquoring perch gives out itself as a “boiling pot”. Therefore, the fisherman needs to look for fish by indirect signs.
For such fishing float fishing rod or spinning is suitable. Promising will be such places of the reservoir where there are natural shelters for perch. These are trees and bushes that have fallen into the water, steep banks on steep river bends, the remains of last year's vegetation and garbage at the bottom, differences in depths and pools.
Fishing for small "sailors" can take place directly below the shore, but it is possible to catch a solid "humpback" at a distance of 5-6 m from the coastline.
Spinning fishing perch
You can quickly and efficiently get perches using spinning. The tackle is quite simple, even beginners can assemble it.
The spinning rod is light and short. The length is 2.1-2.4 m, and the test depends on the mass of artificial baits. Typically, the range of weights ranges from 1-10 g. Spinning is equipped with a simple inertialess reel with a spool size of 1500-2000 according to the Shimano classification.
The length of the main fishing line is selected according to the parameters of the spool. On the side surface, reel manufacturers indicate the length of the fishing line of a certain diameter that fits on the spool. For example, a monofilament fishing line with a diameter of 0.2 mm and a length of 150 m will completely fill the spool to the sides. At the same time, for the same reel, the optimal fishing line length of 0.3 mm is only 100 m.
When fishing perch on a spinning rod, a metal leash is not required. A swivel with a snap hook is mounted at the end of the main fishing line. It remains only to attach your favorite bait and make an accurate cast.
Among the most catching artificial lures in the spring for perch fishing are:
spinners 00-1 according to Mepps classification,
silicone baits up to 5 cm long,
small wobblers and poppers.
In each pond, the perch has its own preferences, both in terms of the type of bait and color scheme. The spinner needs to experiment not only with bait, but also with the animation technique.

Fans of a fishing rod can compete on an equal footing with equipped spinning players. And here you do not need to purchase expensive fishing items. Any provincial angler can afford to collect catching gear.
An ordinary telescope up to 5 m long is suitable as a fishing rod. Of course, the lighter the fishing rod, the more comfortable the fishing.
To equip a fishing rod, you need a simple inertial reel, which holds up to 50 m of fishing line on its drum. Although it is possible to do without a coil. Then the fishing line is attached directly to the tip of the rod.
To successfully remove standard perches (up to 300 g) from the water, it is enough to equip the fishing rod with a monolesk 0.18-0.2 mm thick. When using a leash, you will additionally need a piece of fishing line 0.14-0.16 mm long about 50 cm.
The float can be made independently or purchased in a store. Its carrying capacity should not exceed 5 g. The size of the hook depends on the bait used. But even large hooks perch easily swallows in its large mouth. The main bait for float equipment will be: bloodworms, maggots, worms, leeches, caddis flies, and fry.
In spring, perch allows anglers to enjoy outdoor fishing. A sharp bite of the fish and strong resistance when fishing will leave pleasant memories from fishing. You just need to collect a simple fishing rod and choose the appropriate method of fishing. Then return home empty-handed.
