Lake perch

The second half of June. There are quiet and hot days. In the evenings, the scarlet sun lies on still water, tucked by midges and mayflies. Therefore, the water wrinkles all the time from small circles diverging on the surface of the lake. This feeds on lake roach, which lives in the Luziere, but never pecks on any bait or bait. Only the network of tenants of the lake, who scooped up local fish, let know about the existence of roaches here. Tenants decided to launch commercial fish feeding on algae in Lugiere: grass carp, silver carp, and carp. Nothing came of this. It was the first time I saw a lake roach of Luzier, this golden fish, similar to rudd, in the tenant networks. Crucian, also, as it turned out, is found in Luzhera, but also never once pecked at a fishing rod for all the time I have been on the lake. And I've been here since a young age. Here he is, Lugière, strange and secretive.

In this period of mid-summer, something like a zhor begins at the perch

It would seem that all other normal fish are in a period of summer heat in a certain numbness, sometimes similar to suspended animation. And here at the perch the most active and fun time begins. But this is not so simple. This zhor is activated in perches of all sizes, colors and habitats, but the fishing for all these varied perches is completely different. And here we need to dwell in more detail on the types of perches, which, despite the fact that they live in the same forest lake, are completely different in habits, appearance, size and, as already mentioned, in terms of fishing.

Let's start with the most common and numerous black perches, some of which are even cast in a purple hue. These perches live or mostly stay under the low shores of the lake, where there is always coolness and shadow. Lake water in some places comes under the shore about eight meters from the shoreline. This can be seen from the gaps between the roots of the trees and the turf, where the water turns black. Such a coastline with water under the shore, meanwhile, is quite solid if you do not fall through the foot between the roots. The shore rests on interwoven roots and turf, which is also connected by strong grass.

Fishing for this black perch is very simple, and during the summer zhora it is often prey

Catching a bucket of perch in an hour is sometimes no problem. Moreover, perches sometimes come up to three hundred grams in weight. The fishing gear is also very simple. Usually we go to a mossy swamp, which is nearby, break or cut a very thin dry pine no more than two meters long. We fasten a fishing line with a thickness of 0.18 mm on top, put a simple float of foam and we attach a light mormyshka of the “ovsyinka” type. Everything ... Tackle is ready. First, we put a worm on the mormyshka. After catching the first perch, we euthanize it and take out the eye. Now all fishing will occur only on the perch eye, to which the perch during this period sometimes takes eagerly and often. The fishing technique is also simple. Mormyshka with an eye is thrown literally under his feet into the coves near the shore, better if next to a tree lying in the water. A small float floats along the fuel, a kind of wiring. And, sometimes, there immediately follows a bite. If the flock is large, then you can pull the perch one by one. When the perch ceases to take, we move further along the shore to the next creek.

Another medium-sized perch, also dark, but already with some yellowness, happens to be desperately caught on the reaches of the lake and at the reeds on the spinners of the smallest numbers. Sometimes it’s better to take on small vibro-tails, rippers and twisters. But quickly breaks the bait and tears off their tails. Therefore, "turntables" are more functional.

But the zhor at the largest perch occurs in a completely different scenario

These perches, apparently living in the sand next to the reeds, are completely bright, like river. They come across here weighing up to two and a half kilograms. I caught at least one such humpback once on a summer flyer. Locals say that the lake has perch and three kilos in weight. Bait on it - perch. Perch on the perch. Such a change. Carpens brought here are grabbed only by perch up to three hundred grams in weight and less. The largest humpbacks are taken only by their counterparts. They fall on the vents along with the pike.
