Winter bream fishing

The bream can be called the main prey of the winter-angler who prefers fishing the so-called “white fish”, and this is apart from the bream: roach, silver bream, blue bream, white-eyed sopa, occasionally ide and chub. But bream was and remains the most coveted prey. The bad thing is that he knows about it or guesses and often refuses to peck outright, while going out to feed at night, when the bulk of the fishermen are sleeping. But there are fishermen who specialize in night fishing for bream in a tent, equipping housing with the latest technology and everyday life, up to a folding bed, armchair, warm hard floor, as well as a bright lamp and gas stove. But for such a comfortable fishing, it is important to know exactly the bottom topography and depth, and therefore catchy places. Therefore, first you need to carry out reconnaissance, in which the echo sounder will always help. And the tent is already set up in a proven place. But besides this, there are always signal holes overboard the tent, to which the fisherman comes out from time to time, especially if the night is moonlit and starry.

Bait fishing

Since fishing on bream in winter is successful in deep and often with currents, it requires heavy tungsten mormyshki . Their colors are not so defiantly bright and shiny, which is used in perch fishing. Usually it is soft colors, light and dark shades, but without fake shine. Depth up to five meters is caught in small mormyshki, no larger than 2.5 mm. The shape of such baits is most often in the form of pellets or pears. Bananas and larvae for winter roach fishing are not used here. If the place is deeper than five meters, then a mormyshka of 3 mm is suitable here, and at 8-9 meters - 4 mm and where the pit gapes deeper than 10 meters, rather large mormyshki of 5 mm in size are placed.

Fishing line

The fishing line, despite the impressive size of the bream, does not need a very thick one. The bream is shy and careful. He shuns rough gear. Therefore, it is enough to wind a monophilic fishing line with a diameter of 0.1-0.11 mm on a reel . Even a kilogram bream can be easily pulled out of the hole on this fishing line, if you do not force events and do not rush. But there is one very common mistake that sometimes costs the loss of large prey - the absence of a sharp hook. Sometimes without it it is impossible to get a wide bream out of the hole even with your hand, especially if the ice is thick.

As a bait, a traditional bloodworm is used , but always fresh and connected brushes, which is best done with a special device that allows you to throw a thin elastic band on the brush of bloodworms. But you can do it manually. Such a brush of bloodworms lives much longer, while retaining an attractive appearance and smell for fish than a pierced hook. White maggots are also planted in bloodworms. Bloodworm brushes consist of ten larvae for a good bite and three pieces for a weak one.

The size of the hooks would be more logical to choose not large, but no less than No. 16-14 . Good strong but thin hooks quite often cut large bream lips.

Nods for fishing on breams are selected soft and long, sometimes up to 15 cm long, since a smooth and soft play with a nod is required. Despite the fact that many anglers do not have the patience for such a passive game with a nod, but in a bad bite, it is often the most catchy. Only in the ice and on the last ice the game of mormyshka is active and often a large bream is enough to raise the bait. But the game of mormyshka on lowering to the bottom is more familiar and classic, especially such tactics work well in the middle of winter. Sometimes, after lowering the mormyshka, only one movement is enough for the bottom, that is, you need to slightly raise the bait, and immediately there is a bite, familiar to all fishermen, from which the heart stops. This is a smooth rise of a long nod up and then a tight, dissenting weight on the fishing line, beating with jerks there, at the bottom.

During winter fishing for large bream, when fish weighing up to 2 kg are caught, there are other incidents with the loss of large fish, only now not because of the lack of a hook, but because of a narrow hole-hole suitable only for roach. And there were often cases when a bream, securely supported by a hook, fell back to the bottom with a golden frying pan, and only a massive head of a winter bream remained on the hook ... Therefore, when collecting behind the bream, you need to have a good ice drill with a hole diameter of 180 mm. Of course, you drill into such a drill that you drill holes, especially when the ice is wet, but you will not miss the big fish because of stupidity.

Ready-made winter baits are used for feeding, it is possible with a filler of “Salapino” porridge.
