How to catch fish with fixed gear

The secret of success of fixed gear is the absence of a fisherman at the place of fishing, when the tackle catches fish itself, without a designated bite and hook. What is it for? Despite the obvious unsportsmanlike nature of such fishing, fishing with fixed gear is sometimes necessary at night and in places where, for example, burbot fishing from the shore for snacks is not possible. And these are deep, thick, pits, where any other bottom tackle pulled ashore through the trees and driftwood lying at the bottom will be left at the bottom in a crushed form.

The tackle is the main fishing line on the reel, at the end of which a sinker of the “pear” type is attached, the lead is tied up above. In places where pike grip is possible, it is better to put a soft and flexible metal leash. A symbiosis of two leashes is possible. For such equipment it is better to use a sliding sinker. On the lower leash, you can put a single hook on which a cut fish will be mounted, a small snooty ruff, a large brush of worms, and a leash with a double hook tied up in 10-15 centimeters to make a live bait snap, where a small fish - live bait will tease a predator. In summer, the installation location of such equipment is indicated by a large buoy, which can serve as a piece of foam or a bulk plastic bottle.

Another application of such fixed gear has been tested in spring fishing, when large roach-roach is caught during the day, and at night it is possible to approach the bait of bream, ide and chub. And, as a rule, fish is large. Watching at night a bite of such a fish with a feeder or other donkeys is not always possible, especially if a sleepless night is not the first on this fishing trip. Leaving the feeder overnight is dangerous. Sometimes it happens that when a lot of foliage and other spring debris is rolled onto a fishing line, the peak breaks under the pressure of the current and heavy mass on the fishing line. This probability is especially possible when a large fish sits on a hook. In addition, it happens that at night the tackle can be subject to breakage from a passing log, which is not uncommon for spring. Therefore, at night it is better to put an access with large hooks and the same volumetric bait from the boat, so that only large fish, which is unlikely to be caught in the afternoon on a feeder, become prey. It is difficult to throw an approach with a long undergrowth from the shore, and it works best in this form when the undergrowth is at least 1.5-2 meters. Therefore, such tackle is put out of the boat, gradually unwinding from the reel undergrowth with leashes and hooks, planting large tassels of worms with maggots, and then carefully lowering it to the bottom and sinker. An approach is also indicated by a buoy or the main line is put ashore without moving the sinker. This makes it possible to choose tackle in the morning right from the shore, without getting into the boat. But for this, the bottom in the place of fishing should be clean, preferably sandy. Naturally, such a supply subsystem can successfully work only on the course. Of course, you can not attribute the fixed access to sports equipment, but you can take the soul of fishing to the feeder with the first glimpses of dawn and catch sports equipment all day. Night fishing by the subsurface will bring that fish, which it rarely takes during the day to the feeder and donka, and these are usually large chubs, ides, a kilogram per kilogram, bream of the same condition. It is clear that athletes having fun piercing the flesh of living fish with a hook and introducing them into shock on a catch-and-go basis will not appreciate such fishing, but local fishermen who feed their families with fresh fish understand fishing and love it not only because of its excitement but also due to mining. There are too many now in artificial food stores.

In summer, deliveries are successfully applied in places where large carp or common carp live.

Buoys are used to indicate the installation location of tackle and bite, simply from large polyethylene bottles, marked in red and white for visibility. The nozzle can be: worms, cakes of macaroni cake, cubes of young potatoes, corn, up to the Banduel, clumps of cool semolina, steamed or green canned peas. Sometimes it is only with such tackle that you can take a trophy carp that drags tackle through the pond until it is exhausted.
